I've been into Chia lately-Despite their small size, chia seeds are full of important nutrients. They are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, rich in antioxidants, and they provide fiber, iron, and calcium. Omega-3 fatty acids help raise HDL cholesterol, the “good” cholesterol that protects against heart attack and stroke.Chia seeds are a good source of fiber, providing 11 grams of fiber in each 1-ounce (28-gram) serving (2). A common dosage recommendation is 20 grams (about 1.5 tablespoons) of chia seeds, twice per day. Chia seed fibre, omega-3, and antioxidant polyphenols have beneficial effects on the liver and circulation that can lower blood pressure. ... “Chia seeds also contain fibre, lignin's, antioxidants, magnesium, calcium and potassium which together have an even more powerful effect against high blood pressure.

This is really interesting Linda. I have heard that chia seeds are very good for you. Will have to pass this one on to my daughter in law, this is right up to her foods.
