CREAM CHEESE SUGAR COOKIE RECIPE

 Ingredients:

Sugar Cookies – Makes about 5 dozen medium sized cookies

2 sticks butter, softened

1 8oz package cream cheese

1 egg

1 ½ cup sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

½ teaspoon almond flavoring

3 ½ cups flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

Mix butter, cream cheese, egg, sugar, vanilla, and almond flavoring.

Slowly add flour and baking powder.

Roll into 3 large sections, wrap in saran wrap or wax paper and chill for at least 4 hours.

Roll out onto lightly floured surface and cut shapes with cookie cutters.

Bake for 8-10 minutes at 375° until just slightly brown (sometimes my stove takes 12 minutes)

This is the icing. It hardens up.

I took cookies over to the neighbors who have kids.
