Slow Cooker Parmesan and Honey Pork Tenderloin

Ingredients:

3 pounds pork tenderloin
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup parmigiano reggiano  ( from a plastic bottle- green top)
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons garlic, chopped
1 tablespoon mustard- I used spicy

2 tablespoons cornstarch + 2 tablespoons water

1/2 cup chicken broth (or water)

Directions:

Place the pork on a medium sized platter. Add the mixture of the honey, Parmesan, soy sauce, garlic, mustard to the platter- combine but be careful you don't make a mess. Coat the pork on both sides, place into the slow cooker and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.

Remove the pork from the slow cooker and slice.

Mix the mixture of the cornstarch and water into the juices in the slow cooker along with the broth and cook on high, covered, until the sauce thickens, about 10-15 minutes, before serving the pork topped with the sauce.

Winn Dixie had pork loins on sale about a week ago.  We cut slices off for three meals and today  I wanted to put the rest in the slow cooker.

Gabe and I really liked it. The gravy is delicious!

On the list to make again.

  1. The gravy sounds so good. I don't eat much meat, but this gravy sounds like something I could use on other things. Thanks for sharing Linda.....yum.
