STRAWBERRY MANGO SMOOTHIE

It's strawberry season in Florida.  Strawberries from Plant City or Stark. Who can resist fresh berries? I sure can't!

This recipe from Baker by Nature. I saw this on pinterest and knew I was making it asap. I cut up the strawberries, mango and placed in a plastic bag and froze.

Ingredients:

For the mango layer:

Heaping 1/2 cup frozen mango chunks
3/4 cup orange juice

For the strawberry layer:

Heaping 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1 cup orange juice, more if needed
1 tablespoon honey or sugar, optional

Directions:

 1-Mango layer:

Place all of the ingredients in blender; pulse until smooth, add a bit more orange juice, if needed.

For the strawberry layer:
Place all of the ingredients in blender; pulse until smooth, adding orange juice to thin, if needed.

Assembly:
Fill each glass half way with the mango mixture then fill the rest of the glass with the strawberry mixture; add straws and enjoy!

  2. That's so pretty! What a great way to start a warm Florida morning.

The strawberries here are just starting to taste like strawberries and not the plastic carton. The last few boxes I've bought have been really sweet.
