MM 154 Weeks

We knew Max missed the park and even thought his leg hasn't completely healed we wanted him to visit his buddies.

He spotted Nell sitting in the shade and stayed with her awhile.  Cars pulled in and the dog party started and look who was running to be a part of it!

You might see a young boy inside the fence. The park is double gated and that kid came in and was afraid of the dogs- thus he's in his "safe" area. My question- why bring your child to a dog park when you know he's not comfortable around dogs?

Nell can't be bothered by this little dog. Max was being nice. He figured everyone needs a few kisses.

  1. Awwww that Max....he's irresistable. :) Good question Linda....why the HECK bring a kid that's afraid of dogs to a dog park? And dogs sense that too.......good grief. That makes NO SENSE at all. Maybe the parents are trying to get him over his fear? Heck of a way to do it.......sheesh..........

    1. Being in that little gated area does not help IMHO

  2. If anyone can calm him, it would be Max. But it can cause extreme fear if there is more than one dog. There's always a little aggression when you have a group of dogs. One always wants to be the alpha dog, until he/she realizes that everyone just wants to play & don't care. I agree, why bring the poor kid.

    1. Max came up to him in the gated area and he freaked out! Max was outside not in the enclosed area.

  3. So glad that Max is back at the dog park. It is scary sometimes when you have a group of dogs. I have seen dogs being so calm and playing and then one comes in who is aggressive and gets the whole park growling. The sad thing is, that the owner of the aggressive one, thinks it is fun. No fun for the others. The little boy should be introduced to dogs in a different way. It would be good if a calm dog would be able to play with him in a secluded area. Oh well, to each his own. Glad Max is healing well........give him more belly rubs from me.
