  1. Wow, these quilts are amazing. Linda, I know you took a close up of that butterfly one for me, it is beautiful. I am in awe of these people who do such beautiful work. I wonder how long it takes them to sew them. There are so many different styles and types. I love the cutesy ones...the one of the woman's body with all the different parts of her life I am sure was so good. Thanks for sharing these. I did notice another butterfly one, with the colors I love. It must have been so nice to walk around all the beauty.

    1. I knew you would spot the butterfly ones! I'm always on the look out for those.

Wish I could sew- I would make you one. No talent at ALL for sewing- use to send it all to Gabe's mother.

    2. I am all thumbs or toes when it comes to sewing. And especially these days, I can't even thread a needle with my fingers being so out of joint.

  2. What fun-I felt like I was strolling through the show with you. All of that talent....I'm so envious. I've always wanted to try making a quilt....maybe one of these days I'll just bite the bullet and give it a go. There were too many gorgeous ones to pick a favorite. I just can't imagine the hours and hours of cutting and sewing that goes into them. A labor of love for sure.

Thanks for taking me along on your fun day, Linda. :)

    2. Carol, I hope you see this. I gave my Aunt your recipe for the pizzelles that you make with the cheese. She did make them, but I think she changed it around, since it didn't taste like she put the cheese in, and I think there was way too much onion powder. They were good, but a bit too thick for me. I am going to make them myself and see what I come up with. You know I like to press the iron together while they are baking, and I don't think she did. I will let you know when I do. I have to get in the mood, and right now my mood is not up to doing this. My allergies are horrid.
But I am going to try.

    3. From your lips to God's ears Linda! One of these days I may attempt it. :)

Myra, those pizzelles are a tad on the thick side because they have both cheese and flour. Also if you squeeze the iron together tightly, butter will squirt out. I had to do a little wiping up of butter if I overfilled the iron....it didn't bother me but just wanted to warn you of that. We like flavor in things so if you think the onion powder was too much, cut back a little on it when you give them a try. Everyone's taste preferences are different as we all know.

      Hope you feel better soon......

    4. Carol, the ones she made didn't look anything like the ones you posted here. Yours were light, but hers looked like there was too much of something in it. She also didn't add the chives or the scallions. I asked her if the butter squirted out and she said no. I am going to try them myself as soon as I am up to it. I like flavor in things also, but this was a bit too much onion for me. I will let you know when I try them. <3

  3. Such gorgeous quilts and I am sure an unimaginable number of hours in their creation. Hard to pick a favorite though I prefer the simpler ones.
