Jello Chocolate Chip Cookies***

*
I'm content. I have neighbors that like cookies!

*** This recipe won a blue ribbon at the  Suwannee County Fair!

ingredients:

2 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 cup butter softened (used unsalted)
1/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup light brown sugar
4 tsp. vanilla
1 package (3.4 oz) Jello brand pudding- vanilla flavored(instant)
2 eggs
1 package (12 oz) chocolate chips

directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees

Mix flour and baking soda in a small bowl and set aside.

Combine softened butter, sugars, vanilla and pudding in a large bowl.

Beat until smooth and creamy.

Add the eggs - one at a time and gradually add the flour mixture, then the chips. Batter will be stiff.

Drop by rounded tsp. about 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake in 375 preheated oven for 8-10 minutes.

Note: This is a soft chewy cookie.

Hint: Use seasonal color chips to make "special" chocolate chip cookies. Christmas has red and green chips and Easter has pastels.

  1. I have a box of Pumpkin Spice Jello that I thought about adding. This was the first time baking for my new neighbors so I went with the tried and true.

  2. Oh Linda-your cookies look perfect-like they jumped right out of a bakery case! Wish mine looked that good. I've made a recipe close to this one before and used cheesecake instant pudding mix in them-very good. I bet the pumpkin pudding would work awesome. That's what's fun about recipes with instant pudding in them-with all the different flavors of pudding and the variety of baking chips on the market? The sky's the limit!

I wish I was your neighbor-how COOL that they love home baked goodies-I know you were wondering if you'd have anyone to bake and share with...and you do. YAY! :)

  3. I think you should find somewhere to sell your cookies !! You are amazing. Your cookies come out looking like they were baked by a pro, which you are, but you need to find somewhere to show them off and make some moolah too. These sound wonderful. Gonna save this and copy it out, and maybe let Kayla help me bake them next week. Awesome !!!!!
