A small town in West Virginia asked the Soviet Union and East Germany for help with replacing a bridge after being ignored by the West Virginian government. The Soviets sent a journalist to investigate and within one hour the state finally agreed to pay for it.

  1. Haha! I've never heard this story, but leave it to Mingo county to handle it! Jay Rockefeller was our governor at that time.

    1. Things are difficult no matter where you love. Our Governor does not want kids to wear masks in schools. Many counties are now suing the state cause they want the mask mandate. 99 percent of the time it's ALWAYS politics.

    2. POLITICS really is the cause of so many issues. I have been away from my computer for 2 weeks, so I am trying to catch up. Will be back home tomorrow.
