Drop Sugar Cookies- Small Batch
Ingredients:
1 1/3 cups all purpose flour
¾ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
½ cup butter (1 stick, softened)
1 cup sugar
1 egg (large)
1 tsp vanilla extract
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a small bowl combine all the dry ingredients. Whisk all dry ingredients.
In the mixer beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. (This will take a few minutes on high)
Beat in egg and vanilla until blended.
Reduce speed to low and beat in flour mixture just until combined, scraping the bowl with a spatula.
Drop dough by heaping teaspoons, 2 inches apart on a parchment-lined cookie sheet.
Bake for 10 minutes or until just brown around the edges.
Made these for Mey's grandson and Nancy her daughter. They were headed home and wanted them to have something to snack on .

I bet they ate them all before they got home. These seem really easy, going to save the recipe to make with the grandkids.
ReplyDeleteVery, Very easy. It doesn't make a large batch but would great for you and the kids.
DeletePorkchop ( Mey's grandsons nickname) told his mom that they were all for him- LOL. She made sure he shared.
They had a 12 hour drive home, hopefully next time they will fly down. Wonder if they let them take homemade cookies on a plane.
Now THERE is a happy face!!!! I love it.
