I love the truck and the statue. just wish the old values were still in place the way it used to be. These photos bring back memories of when I was young and would go to the city parades with mom and dad.
I was telling Gabe that this was the first year I actually forgot about the parade. I use to listen to it on our local radio station. We stopped going because someone was constantly hitting us up for money to help pay for the parade. Didn't matter if you already gave they would "guilt" you to give more. One of the wealthiest little towns on the east end needs to beg?
I also love the truck and the statue. My wishes are the same as yours Cyndy. I miss all the old values also. Everything now is so "cookie cutter". Love to see the small towns and the parades with the kids waving flags as they pass by. A Happy and Safe 4th of July to all. Today is a day for thinking back on days gone by. I wish those days were still here, as well as the people who were there then.
This truck is beautiful. We have a big black truck that goes by with the big flag on the back. When it goes by it is very touching. Its strange not seeing our Max today. Looking forward to seeing him soon.

DeleteThat's some truck!
ReplyDeleteHappy Independence Day everyone :)
My grandfather had a all black one when I was a kid. It was great riding in the back, especially on the beach.

ReplyDeleteI remember on holidays grocery stores and almost all the local stores were closed so everyone could enjoy the holiday. Now- holiday, what's that?
