  1. We have been in our home 35 years. The Mountain Laurel is beautiful this year. It hasn't been so abundant in years.

  2. How pretty! It looks like the conditions were perfect for Mountain Laurel. I remember riding to my Godmother's house in NH, one stretch of the road was loaded with it and when it flowered in the late spring, it was a beautiful sight to behold. That's what's so nice about living out in the woods-seeing Mother Nature's work all around you.

I heard on the news a few weeks ago that it's going to be a horrid year for peaches. The orchard a few towns over from us said they probably won't have any since none of their trees blossomed at all this year. Something about a mild winter then a late in the season freeze. We always look forward to fresh peaches-not this year I guess.

    1. We were told that this area had a very mild winter. It's so beautiful, every day I go out and take more photos.

  3. This is so beautiful. I didn't know that was called Mountain Laurel. You will miss these beauties when you move down south. Wonder if you could plant some down there?

    1. I wish we could. No many areas in Sag Harbor have the laurel. They would never grow in Florida.
