Waves

Every morning I start my day watching the Ocean Cam

I saw this on reddit and love the waves but the thought of being on a boat would not appeal to me. I figured with the hurricane Joaquin in the Atlantic it was a good time to add this post.

  1. I know how much you love the ocean....it can be beautiful and it can be deadly. I'm not a water girl so there's NO way you'd catch me out on a boat even if the water was as smooth as glass.

Looks like Joaquin isn't going to be visiting like they thought he would at the beginning of the week. That's MORE than OK with me!

Hope you've made it "home" so you can get some rest!

  2. I agree, Joaquin isn't going to pay a friendly visit. I will never get on another boat again. long story. On the ocean? NEVER. I love watching the sea from the shore and that's it. I love the sound of the waves and the salty breeze. Safe travels to you my friend

  3. I agree, no boats for me. I get dizzy just be on a standing still one. These waves are amazing. I am also glad that Joaquin turned left and headed out to sea. I do feel sorry for the islands that are on it's path. The waves are fun to watch, but from a distance. Hope you both got some rest and that the rest of the road will be rain free and a smoother ride. Stay safe, not fun driving in the rain, and especially when it is as heavy as it was. Looking forward to your getting to Central Florida safe and sound.

  4. I've never experienced the ocean but I do love water since I live at the lake. Love the sounds of the waves & I so miss them when the lake freezes over. I miss not being able to go boating anymore but it was fun when I was able to. Fond memories, for sure.
Hurry home, Linda. Getting settled is always a chore. Hope you can relax soon. Take care.

    1. Thanks Angela- we had some horrible weather in South Carolina. Flooding all over the place. We got in to the house and we are beat!

The only good thing- gas was cheap- 1.99 a gallon coming down!
