Aunt Millie's Decadent Chocolate Cake

Aunt Millie loved making birthday cakes. I worked with her and she was everyone's aunt. She never forgot a birthday.

This is an old recipe and sure you can find many versions on the web. This is my tried and true recipe and I know Ted and Marie liked it.

Ingredients:

1 ( 15.25 ounce) box chocolate cake mix

1 (4-ounce) chocolate instant pudding

4 eggs

½ cup oil

1/2 cup water

1 cup sour cream

1 (12-ounce) package chocolate chips*

Directions:

Mix all ingredients together in mixer. Bake in a greased Bundt pan at 325 degrees about an hour or until done

* I dusted the chips with some of the cake mix. When the batter was mixed I folded the chips in.

I made this cake for Marie and Ted who enjoyed it!

  1. Boy, you can't beat a classic chocolate Bundt cake like this one. Gosh, I haven't used my Bundt pan in eons it seems. Wish I had more people to share cake with! That looks great, Linda...not surprised at all that Ted and Marie loved it....there's plenty in that cake to love! :)

    1. Ted and Marie are so good to us. I wanted to make them something special before we went back to NY.

Now to think of something to make for them when we go back! Any ideas? ( smile)

  5. There's a cake my daughter & her family would love! Well, actually Ray would too! I'm not quite the chocololic they are! :-)
I recently replaced my bundt pan. The old one was Harvest Gold! There's proof of it's antiquity. It actually was a hand me down from my Mom!
