Splendid Green Smoothie

I should of posted this on St. Patty's Day but better late then never adding it for all to see.

I found this recipe on Inhabitat. There is an article for vegan Irish recipes. The original name is Lucky Shamrock Green Smoothie. I adapted the recipe to what I had in the house.

Ingredients:

1 frozen bananas ( Hint- if you don't care for bananas use half an avocado and half of a frozen banana. Really don't like banana- leave it out and just use a whole avocado)

1 packed cup baby spinach

1/2 cup almond milk

Directions:

Blend the spinach, milk and banana in your blender. I used my Magic Bullet.

Blend until nice and smooth.

If you want it sweeter you can add a teaspoon of maple syrup

  2. This sounds very similar to one my daughter makes. She throws all kinds of fruits and veggies in hers. The Magic Bullet is an amazing help.

  5. I do add spinach to my smoothies, but not enough to make the color green. I don't actually want to taste it. LOL Best wishes!

    1. You can't taste the spinach in this. It has a strong banana flavor
