Oh boy, I am going to make these right now. I know just the hot sauce to use, Slap ya Mama. I love chick peas, and have some in the cabinet now. Thanks Linda, these are my snack for today.
ReplyDeleteThose look SO good Linda...I'm gonna have to try them...the last time I roasted chickpeas they were a bust-I think cause the recipe didn't have a lot of stuff added to it you know? Your dinner would be mighty fine with me-I would enjoy every last bite! I bet you did too. :
ReplyDeleteBy the way...I LOVE that plate your salad is on......you know me-I notice stuff like that...... :)
LOL Carol- another flea market find!
DeleteLOL Carol,,,,,,,the plate is pretty. I just made the chickpeas. I had to. Just took them out of the oven. I think next time I won't make them quite so hot. I think I put in too much hot sauce, but this is ok, since I am going to add them to my barley. Barley is kind of bland, so this will spice it up. I can't wait to eat it.
ReplyDeleteI hoped you will make them again-
DeleteI love chickpeas but no hot sauce in the house! I think I need to get some though I'm not into spicey/hot. I think Ray might like it though as I think his taste buds have changed and he needs more spice on everything! Have it on the list now! LOL
ReplyDeleteAngela- if you make it for Ray, tell him that you will be calling him hot lips!
DeleteCarol, same thing happened to me. I haven't tried them again but I think these would be fantastic. Thanks Linda, I need to try them again and this is just the right recipe. I have plenty of Slap Ya Mama too. Thanks for the idea Myra! Gorgeous plate! Good eye Carol
ReplyDeleteCyndy- if you need more Slap ya Mama just let me know!
DeleteI was going to ask if you needed more!
ReplyDeleteSorry- I thought I sent you some. I have plenty thanks and also make sure Myra is well supplied ( wink)
DeleteI will for sure be making these again. When I put them in with the barley, it gave me just the taste I liked. Yummy
ReplyDeletesounds good!
DeleteWhen there roasted like this do they taste more like a nut?
ReplyDeleteLinda- I like my food spicy and these were hot so I didn't get any nut flavor. I want to make another flavors so check back and I'll let you know.
DeleteThanks for stopping by.
