The look on both faces

I wish I knew how to add just the video to this but if you click
"I've made a terrible mistake." and see the poor dogs face.

They were having such a good time and the dogs look is priceless. "I'm sorry little girrrlll!!!!!". Then he immediately deploys the puppy eyes on his (filming) owner.

This is one huge reason I love dogs. They actually worry about the well-being of people/others. It's like they understand right from wrong and want to do right...even in their limited capacity. It's a shame humans aren't like that.

  1. Boy are you ever right about that Linda.....you could SEE that dog's remorse when he realized what was happening. He even wrapped his paws around her in a "hug" when they went down. They were having fun and yeah-accidents happen, and that's what it was...an accident....certainly not an "on purpose". Those puppy dog eyes are something Bob and I saw OVER AND OVER again when one of our dogs would mess up.....boy they knew...and were sorry.

Unlike lots of people I've known. Dogs have unconditional love and respect....too bad some that walk this earth can't take a lesson from that.

    1. People don't care when they hurt other people. You could tell that dog wanted to protect that little girl.

  2. Oh Carol, you are so right. They sure do know when they have done something wrong. This dog was so sorry when he realized what he did. I have to laugh, every time Chase does something he knows he shouldn't he goes in the back of the couch. I have to laugh, since I didn't send him there. I have problems when I look up, and get dizzy and lose my balance, so when Chase sees me get the step stool, or the ladder, he leaves the room. I have to tell him I will be fine. I just love these dogs, you are right again, some people should take lessons.

  3. That's right Carol- a family dog would not do something on purpose to hurt anyone,

You know I walk dogs at the shelter. i was walking Nelly- a small mix breed. I've walked her a few times. The last time I took her out she spotted a guy who was walking on the other side of the road.

She went ballistic. For a small dog she is strong. She did not like the guy and as we passed he said I had some 'guard dog'.

I know enough about dogs that feelings from a person can be picked by the dog. Nelly isn't my dog and I certainly was not afraid.

I mentioned to the staff about Nelly's reaction and they told me to be careful out there- and no she does not normally react to people like that.

Here is a dog that is so grateful to get out and enjoy a walk and has my back where other people would gladly put a knife in it .

That's the world we live in.

    1. You're SO RIGHT Linda-about EVERYTHING you just said especially the last 2 lines.

Dogs sure CAN sense things in people and they react accordingly. That guy had some kind of negative vibe Nelly picked right up on-and she was DEFINITELY your protector.

You're doing such a wonderful thing walking those dogs at the shelter-Nelly showed you just how much she loves her time with you the other day......unconditionally.........

  4. As you know we have a cat not a dog, but at the lake I am around dogs all the time, infact I grew up with a dog. I just love them, but I know we don't have the time for one with us working.
I know they know when they do something wrong and you could tell he was really sorry in the video but it wasn't his fault, that is why they are called accidents.

Linda- How scary for the dog to behave like that towards the guy. I wonder if he knew him from before he went into the shelter.

  5. Wow, dogs know when a person isn't nice. bet she could sense that he wasn't. Dogs are very intuitive that way. I've grown up with dogs and have had a few that have been so protective. Nelly sounds like she was warning you about this man. I can't go anywhere near a shelter or I'd come home with all of them. yeah, I love animals that much.

  6. I feel bad for that sweet dog. He did realize he was falling on her & instead of panicking, he hugged the little girl
