Teddy Bears For Fallen Families

What exactly would you do with an old uniform? Most people would just keep it in a trunk or hung up in the back of a closet. In rare cases they may have the jacket framed, but that's the extent of it.

This is a keepsake that you can touch and feel, and hug close to you when you miss that person. You can pass this down to your children and tell them the story of how brave that person was, and how this teddy is just as brave and will help them with nightmares and childhood problems. Lots of kids imagine their teddies defend them- and a military teddy can have a bigger impact on that than the regular soft stuffed bear.

  1. What a great idea. It is a memory maker for sure, and the kids will treasure them and the stories behind the jackets will be honored for a long time. Teddy Bears are our childhood protectors and for many they will continue to be for a long time. Thanks for sharing this story.

  4. I wonder how an old navy uniform that is way to small to even wear as your last to ever be worn when that day comes, work as a teddy bear ? These that are shown are great. What a way to honor the person.

  6. How sweet. Upcycling the uniforms into bears is a great idea. These Teddy Bears will bring comfort and many smiles to the children who receive them.
