  2. This is so beautiful . The gardens are just amazing. Does anyone live there ? You must have been so busy taking pictures. I can't wait to see yours. I was thinking as I was looking at the video, how much the caretaking of the estate must cost. Thanks for sharing this.

    1. I took over 200 photos! Need to get going on them. I put the only ones of me on facebook.

No, the family hasn't lived there since the 50's I think. They also had a huge place in Palm Beach which was torn down.

The guy who built the house for his wife ( who was from England and would not move to the states unless she had a home that was similar to what she has in England so he brought in tons of soil to make the hills rolling and have room for a polo field) was the son of a man who was partner of Andrew Carnegie. Steel money.

  5. This is stunning Linda. I can't wait to see your photos when you put them on your computer. We have a Westcroft Gardens near us. There is a beauiful story of the love this man had for his wife and how this garden started and continued to grow as he added to the Garden . Thank you for another beautiful share. xxxx

  6. What a place! That's more house and property than I need but it sure would be fun to visit. And if you have the kind of money to afford a place like that, you can pay people to take care of it-inside and out.

What gorgeous gardens.......I love that pathway with the arbor........like a secret garden. I bet you had a grand time visiting and taking photos....and I bet it was easy to take 200 of them too-SO much to see. And you had a nice day for it too weather wise? Looking forward to seeing you photos. :)

    1. It was cloudy which was perfect. Temp was in the low 80's and we were lucky the sun wasn't beating down on us.
