White Springs, Florida

The wooden vase was for sale at the White Spring Tourist Center. I included other photos of painted windows for sale in the link below. My favorite was the mermaid. Wouldn't buy it but it was cute.

White Springs has a Wild Azalea Festival the second week of March.

I signed up for a hike in a state park to see the wild azalea's.  They were suppose to be in bloom. Only two bushes had flowers and I did get a few nice photos.

  1. I love natural art like this vase, you just can't make it prettier than the wood grain. I would love to have taken that walk with you Linda. Nothing is blooming here but we may have Sagebrush Buttercups soon. They are the first. I saw blue birds so I hurried up and cleaned my houses. They are looking to move in soon. That means Spring is coming soon.

  2. I can see why you liked that Mermaid picture. It was so colorful and lively and I would have loved it in my porch window. I also liked the vase. Paddi probably would be able to do this......Paddi ???? I would have loved to have taken that walk with you both also. Oh Please let spring be coming, it is supposed to snow tonight.

Linda, I bet there are lots of other places to walk there and it must be so peaceful. Enjoy them, and I want to see YOUR pictures of your walk. You capture the best shots

    1. Myra, I didn't get many photos on the walk. I was lucky the azaleas were blooming. Next time when I go with Gabe and not a group I'm sure I'll get more photos.

  3. You got some great photos Linda-too bad only a couple azaleas were in bloom-at least there were a few. I love walks like that.....very calming and good exercise. It looks like you had a great time-lots to see. Those quilts are beautiful along with the hand painted windows-who'd have thought huh? Some people are so creative.

    1. Carol- the quilts were amazing. There were only three but they were outstanding. Painting old windows is big in this area. Noticed that classes pop up just about every weekend.
