Olive Garden Copycat Peach Tea Recipe
Gabe loves Olive Garden. When we are in Florida it's one of his favorite places to eat.
I always wanted to try the peach tea but somehow a glass of wine has always won out.
Budget Savvy Diva posted the recipe and it's now one of my favorite summer drinks.
PLEASE NOTE: Last week I tried something different. I posted two oatmeal recipes, one made by me and the other made by CAROL.
It was popular and since we love sharing recipes Carol and I have decided to continue it and include Cyndy in our recipe adventures.
This week we are going to share peach recipes. This is my contribution and Carols post will go up on Thursday and Cyndy's on Saturday.
I am thrilled that Carol and Cyndy want to share and hope you enjoy all the recipes.
Ingredients:
2 quarts unsweetened fresh brewed tea ( I made decaffeinated sun tea*)
3/4 cups sugar ( sweeten to taste)
11 ounce can peach nectar
Ice
Directions:
Once the tea is brewed add the can of peach nectar and the sugar.
The copycat recipe calls for 3/4 cup of sugar which is way too sweet for me. I made the tea to my taste. I'm not a sweet tea girl.
Add the ice, and sit with your feet up, sip your tea and relax.
* I make sun tea all summer. To a two quart container add the tea bags. I like strong tea so I add 6-8 bags. I let the sun brew the tea and it always comes out perfect.

Well I'm thrilled to be posting on your very special blog, Linda! Thanks so much for the opportunity....I think we're gonna have fun with your new idea. :)
ReplyDeleteBOY that tea looks delicious.....what a nice cup of cold on a hot summer day. I haven't made sun tea in forever...I used to make it all the time with herbal teas. I'm gonna have to do that again this summer. I've still got some nice big jugs I can use. Thanks so much for the reminder....AND for the great recipe. I never would have thought of putting nectar in tea......that's a super idea. I don't like sweet tea either so nice to know this one isn't overly sweet.
just wait till they see your post on Thursday!!!!! The photo is amazing :-)
DeleteI must say, I love the picture !!! Serving the tea in a jug like that is so awesome. I am not a peach person, but this sounds like lots of peach lovers will love this one. I also think the idea of having Carol and Cyndy posting recipes on your blog will be awesome. You all are such great cooks, and many of your ideas are now copied out and saved. Can't wait to see what you post. Since this is peach week, I won't do much copying, but I will share your recipes for sure. Yeah girls.......so much fun !!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the share on Facebook!
DeleteI love peach tea! I might just be a little addicted :). I will be giving this a try this summer. Thanks for the recipe!
