  1. Amazing when you look at a list like this...my Mom remembers this and speaks of it often to this day....back then those prices were as outrageous as the ones today are.

  2. Oh boy and look at the ridiculous prices we deal with now...... i'm making more of my own and trying to grow more of my own things. prices are out of control because of greed. simply, it's just greed. there are things I would love to have but I don't need them so I don't get them. Geez, I wish I could of gone to Harvard!

  3. I can imagine that back then, those prices were very high to those who needed them. Our prices of today, are high, and if it isn't on sale, I put it back. We need to do what we can to help ourselves save money. There is so much waste. It makes me sick to see how much the stores throw away.

  4. With what they made those prices were high. Mom and Dad had eight of us and they made the food stretch. Its sad how high food prices are today. Its a treat when I can buy something I don't normally get.
Oh how I remember when Mom made homemade bread. She always made a loaf of raisen bread and the best stickie buns. I can almost smell it baking. I enjoyed doing the same when my kids were growing up. As far as the bread making machine , not the same.
