9/11

I also wanted to add a Link about Bretagne. She came to New York City to help with rescue efforts. Fourteen years later, the golden retriever returned for a happier occasion: her 16th birthday

  1. 14 years....so many years and it seems like yesterday. The weather today sure isn't the same as that fateful day. It's one I'll never forget....ever.

What a beautiful dog-and 16 years old....wow, that's up in age for a golden retriever. What they're trained to do is absolutely amazing.

  2. It doesn't seem like its been 14 yrs. I don't believe any of us is going to forget this. God bless our Furbabies that helped also..Yes 16 yrs old is old for a dog. Happy Birthday Precious.

  3. We will forever remember this very horrible day. It does seem hard to think it's already been 14 years! Seems like yesterday only.

Bretagne is a very special dog and nice to see that she will honoured on her 16th birthday. Certainly a long life span for a Golden.

  5. I remember that day. I heard the news at at work (I worked nights back then). I called home & told Randall to turn on the news. By the time I got home that morning, the second plane had just hit its target. It was devastating. One of my patients lost his wife, she traveled to NY on business & was in one of the Trade buildings. Bretagne is a hero in my eyes as we're many of the search dogs were. They worked relentlessly. Some even needed IV therapy because they became dehydrated. I'll certainly never forget that day. Happy birthday Bretagne
