Khan

Doberman Pinscher  had been abused before being rescued and adopted, and he still was able to have  affection and loyalty to his new family that he risked himself to save a toddler.

When I read the article the first thing I thought was this was divine intervention. Khan was adopted four days before this happened!

"The more I know about people, the better I like my dog."

  1. Unconditional love-even after 4 days. He had broken ribs and only knew pain from his former owner yet he laid his own life on the line to protect that little girl. What an amazing dog. I'm SO glad this family rescued him and is giving him the life he deserves.

It makes me sick when I think of what some people do to animals......don't get me started on what should be done to them.

  2. It is just so amazing the love and safety a dog has to give. This dog should have a wonderful life. It also makes me sick to see animals abused. They did nothing to the abuser. What a friend for life this family has now. This is a true hero.

  3. I agree with the Divine intervention. So sad that they did nothing to the abuser. This Dog is a true Hero and to put his life on the line for someone after being abused is such a loving thing to do. I bet if the abuser was in trouble this beautiful Dog would have saved them too.

  4. You know Dottie, you're right. This beautiful dog might have done just that. They wouldn't deserve it. An animal gives his whole heart to you. They give unconditionally. He now has a loving home for the rest of his life. I'm glad the little girl was saved & her parents spared the grief of what could have been a horrible tragedy. An animal doesn't have the ability to fight back with words & they easily have the power to severely hurt someone & don't. Give them love & respect, you'll get it back tenfold.

  5. There is no Dog like a Doberman. People think they are mean, but they are so lovable and sweet. Him saving this little girl after being abused proves it. I am so glad he found a great home with people that will really love him. I have had 2 Dobies and it shattered my heart when I lost them. So happy for Khan. Beautiful story

    1. Janet- when our son was very young there was an older man who would walk his doberman in our area. The dog was gentle. Our son would give the dog belly rubs and when they went past our house the dog would wait to see if our son was home so he could get a good belly rub!
