Summer @ Sagg Main

This is the first time I have ever had time to enjoy the beach. When the beach permits went on sale Memorial Day I was in line to get my "senior" permit.

I had a chair, mp3 player, hat and I was set to go.

When I went to the beach in the past I always wore shorts and never took them off. Guess you can tell I didn't go in the water. This year I just didn't care what people thought. No shorts and my little black bathing suit was happy to feel salt water.

Gabe never goes to the beach with me. He loves the water but will not sit and relax on the beach. I would sit in the same place ( yes, I don't like change)  and set up my chair and sip my ice coffee and listen to what ever book was downloaded.

  2. Now that the summer "season" is over there isn't anyone there who cares what you do at the beach. People had dogs with them yesterday.
Plenty of room to park now that all the summer people are gone!
Thanks for stopping by. Pinned your recipe for Cheddar Jalapeno Chicken :-) Thanks for sharing.

    2. I'm so glad you're enjoying the beach this summer-and yes, I still call it summer with the triple H weather we're having. What a great grandpa those kids had digging a "pool" for them-geez the least they could have done was help dig it out......what kid doesn't love digging in the sand? Both of my grandsons would kill to do that.

Can't believe beach weather is almost over.......where has the summer gone?

    3. We have been so lucky this summer, it really wasn't hot and you hit the jackpot with your garden!

I can tell you, my feet are nice and soft after walking on the sand.

  3. I am late getting on here today. Linda, I am like you, would never take off my top or shorts off. The last time I was on the beach, was when we went to Florida for Mike's wedding. I didn't even wear or bring a bathing suit. Bravo for you Linda, doing what you want to do and not caring what they look at or think. So glad you are enjoying the pleasures of the end of summer. I would be like that grandfather, digging holes for the kids and them off somewhere else. Thanks for sharing your story, I really enjoy your little stories about the life in Long Island.

That chicken sounds awesome.. Too bad I can't eat all that good stuff now........not a happy camper these days.

    2. I am with you Myra..I would go in the water with my shorts and top on. No swimsuit for me either. Now when the kids were younger I loved wearing swim suits and the beach..Gosh those were the days when I had so much fun. Where did the time ago go to. Linda I am glad you enjoyed the beach and in your suit too.

  4. So glad you were able to go to the shore and allowed yourself to enjoy the water. I bet you look smashing in your little black suit and if you don't kudos to you for not fussing about what people may think. We've all seen very ibese people who shouldn't but don't care what people think of them.

I love my lake and my water. However, I haven't been in for eons. My mobility makes that pretty much impossible? However, I see the lake everyday and the waves are my lullabies at night.

    1. Angela-I love the sound of the ocean waves. When we are in Florida I have a CD that I pop in so I can listen to the waves! LOL
