Scottish Festival At Old Westbury

Rita and Grace invited me to the festival and I had a great time.

Got to see so many beautiful gardens and try haggis, which I liked.

I took over 200 photos and I spent many hours seeing what I should keep.

Hope you enjoy the Photos

  1. Fantastic photos as always Linda. That's quite a place! I love the statues of the people inside the mansion......I had to look twice for a second........thought what's a dog doing in there playing with kids? Great pictures of you, Rita and Grace too-man I wish I could wear a baseball cap-they just don't look right on me.

It looks like you guys had a great time. Haggis, huh? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm...........don't know if I'd dare try that...........I'm only adventurous to a point when it comes to eating. Glad you liked it though! :)

    1. It was really cool how they set everything up.

People wouldn't know me without my hat! This one if from one of Gregory's jobs. It's my favorite hat and I wear it all the time. I had to retire my NY Yankee hat, once George died the team just ins't the same.

  3. Whoa, what an estate. The gardens are so beautiful. Loved the lily pads and the flowers. I can't imagine anyone living in there. The woodwork is so beautiful along with the statues. I like the way they put in the "people", they look so real. The upkeep on the estate must be really expensive. They must have lived there in the 50's since there is the tombstone of the dog. Thanks for letting me enjoy the tour with you. Your pictures are so amazing. And no haggis for me either.....don't think I would be able to get it past my fork.

    1. Yes, they set up the trust sometime in the late 50's.

  4. Great photos. Girl you have a good eye when it comes to taking photos. Love the gardens and the house is grand. The red haired lass looks like the Little girl from the animated feature "Brave" I loved that character! I had a boyfriend years ago that drove an Austin Healy and it was so low to the ground, you felt every bump. it scared the 'you know what' out of me! Thanks for sharing these wonderful photos

    2. Cyndy- I know I will never get to Scotland and I always wondered what Haggis tasted like. I figured if i didn't like it I would toss it but I liked it. If I go again next year I would order it again.
