MM 100 Weeks

It seems like it wasn't that long ago Gabe and I drove to Buffalo, NY to pick Max up. When we were near the breeders house the sky darken up and it looked like it was going to rain. My first thought, maybe this a sign. Should we get this puppy? The closer we got to her house it  suddenly  stopped raining and as we pulled into the driveway the sun came out. It was almost like, ok, you shed your tears for Rip and now the sun is out and this is a new beginning.

It took me awhile to get close to Max. Gabe and Max bonded right away. He's Gabe's buddy and we both love him.

                                                                            Then

                                                              Now

I also want to wish Carol and Bob a very happy 30th anniversary!

  1. I can remember when you first got Max. You were so worried you wouldn't be able to love him as you did Rip. Rip is forever in your hearts, and now Max has a place there also. He might have bonded with Gabe right away, but some bonding takes longer, and when it comes it is a good one. I love Max Mondays. He is a real handsome dog.

Happy Anniversary to Carol and Bob.....Wishing you a wonderful day and a Happy and Healthy year to come. 30 years is something to celebrate.

  2. I remember you talking about picking up Max........that shower was a sign...........and look at the bundle of joy you have now. That first "baby" photo melts my heart............LOVE the then and now...........where did the time go? That last photo just cracks me up.......he's full of energy and lovin' every minute with that big ol' smile.

    1. Max was SO unhappy when we picked him up. He sure didn't want any part of me! He cried 8 hours going home. We didn't know what we were getting into. Two old folks and a puppy, were we crazy?
He has trust issues-and slowly he started to realize we were ok and we loved him. Really loved him.
Shows- all you need is love.

  3. It does take time to heal because you don't want to lose what you had with Rip. You won't, never will. Rip will be with you forever. The wonderful thing about the heart? It can hold a lot of love. I have lots of photos of our dogs. They're all over my house. Each had their own personality that still Sparks a warm memory & smile. I love my "girls" more than life itself. Crazy? Maybe, but they bring me happiness & give unconditional love.

Happy Anniversary Carol & Bob! Leftovers, the way you cook & bake it's alwayssomething delicious!

    1. Cyndy, how relate to what you said about your girls. Yes, the love from a dog is so special and we have photos of Rip and Rex all over both houses. The happiness they bring is something that does fill my heart and you are right. For my furbabies my heart can hold all that love! Thanks GF!

    1. Hey Angela- I wanted to do another photo of Gabe holding Max. That did NOT work out. I found out I can't hold a treat and try to take a photo at the same time-LOL! It was almost as funny as the "selfie" we took of the 3 of us. The one next to the chair was a better idea!
