MM 91 Weeks

                                                           Max in the clover.

On one of our walks around the lake one lady said he's the color of a biscuit and you know how southerns love their biscuits!

They also stop their cars and yell out the window "what kind of dog is that" which really surprised us at first.

Max is the prefect example of an English Lab. Rip was a big boy and he was oversized for a English but Max is good looking English. He's a tad short and he might look a little pudgy but if you gave him a rub, you would be surprised that he's all muscle.

  1. You know, I can sorta understand why people ask what kind of dog he is. I just got an education....I didn't know that there were different breeds of Labs. I think Labrador Retriever and I think BIG dog. Max has the face of a Lab like I know it that's for sure and I bet he's all muscle-you can definitely see it in the photo above. It's hard to tell his size in photos too.

What a great picture of him in the clover-he's a sweet little "biscuit" that's for sure!

    1. Carol- the american lab is thinner and the head is a different shape. Our first lab was a puppy mill dog. He was born in Kansas and shipped to a crappy kennel. At the time we thought it was a good place then later found out that they supported puppy mills.
Rex (our first lab) was so sick when he took him home. He had so many different things going on. We called them Kennel where we bought him and told them he was so sick. They said we could bring him back and get credit for another dog. No way would we do that, he was OURS and we loved him and just wanted him healthy. They didn't care about a dog once it was sold, it was someone's else's problem.
Rex was loved to the max and lived to be 14 years old.

  2. I can see that Max is all MUSCLE !! He is a big one. The black English lab that lives around the corner, looks like your Rip. I know some of the other labs are not as big as the English ones. I have to laugh when Boyle comes down the street, Chase is ready to go out and say hi. I wanna give Max a big hug, but since I am not there, you do it for me. It makes you swell with pride when people give you compliments about your baby. Happy Max Monday
