Fun

When we lived at Gregory's house the first two years all I did was rake. His yard is full of pine needles and Live Oak leaves, which are a royal pain to rake. Gabe decided to get a bagger for Gregory's tractor which makes everyone happy.

I finally got a chance to drive it around the yard and I had fun!

Oh, we don't have one tree in our yard in Lake City. So nice NOT to think about leaves.

  1. I LOVE IT! You look like you're having a GRAND time driving that rig. We have a tractor that Bob wants me to drive.......I ask him if he REALLY feels like digging it out of the embankment out back where we dump the leaves. He got it stuck out there last year-I can only imagine what I'd do backing it up. That is one SCARY thought.

I hear ya about the leaves. Having 14 trees down last year cut the amount down but there's still PLENTY to rake in the fall-and don't get me started on pineneedles and pinecones.........we've got a TON of those to clean. NOT fun at all.

That's why I don't have a gym membership-between the raking, gardening and shoveling? I get a pretty good workout around here. :)

    1. If I did everything you do, I would be exhausted! Then you cook and bake and take pictures of your stuff, which is no easy job!

Myra, the photos Bob and Carol take are gorgeous!

Ok, back on tract- I did pretty good on it, was a little worried when I hit the holes Max dug in the yard. I thought if this flips there goes the other shoulder!

  2. WoooWooo, you look good driving that. Must be fun. I only have a small backyard, but many many leaves, and not from any trees of mine, since I don't have any. NOT FAIR I have to clean up after other people's trees. This year because of my shoulder, I couldn't do it, so under all the snow are leaves....sure hope they have disappeared, but I doubt it. Carol, I think you should pester Bob to get the tractor for you. Tell him you need a new toy.

Linda Lucky you not having any trees in your yard, but how about the neighbors ???

    1. Myra- on one side no trees but the other side has the dreadful Live Oaks. Gregory's house- there is a line of Live Oaks. They look beautiful and are about 100 years old. Those suckers are huge and FULL of leaves. They ALL blow in his yard. It's a never ending job to keep that yard clean.

  3. This takes me back to when I got to ride my FIL's big tractor. He had acres of Grass to be mowed and he let me get on and drive that rig. It was a blast. I was in my early 20's at that time. Gosh he was a wonderful POP..He was so protective of me too. He is gone now but the memories of him will always live in my heart. Linda you look like you truly are having a wonderful time.
